- Recent independent testing revealed that Ruby Lou scored the highest overall in terms of appearance, colour, taste and texture for most cooking methods (SARDI 2009)

- Good for boiling, baking and frying
- Has a long shelf life

Coliban
- Coliban remains one of Australia’s most common and popular white potato varieties
- It performs satisfactorily for all cooking methods and has a floury taste (HAL)
